As Oprah once said, “I Love Bread.”
Bread: Rotund. Brown. Beautiful. Some might say a little like myself. Bread is delicious and economical. From the most basic white to the sprouted grain stuff, there’s something for everyone. What kind of bread are you, you might ask? And I’m here to answer that question. The results also feature a recipe for each bread for any ambitious bakers out there.

i’m sourdough!
maybe it’s time to make a lot of bread…
I got hearty honey wheat! “Gorgeous, brown, thoughtful, you make everyone around you feel welcome and wanted. A true sweetie, your chosen fam is super proud of you.” I will definitely take it 😍
(though I do have a loaf of no-knead sourdough from a homegrown starter ready to go into the oven as we speak! [My starter’s name is Idgie.])
Hearty honey wheat. This is very correct. Now I’m going to need retake the quiz to get the other recipes.
Ciabatta believe that that’s what I got.
I knead this to roll into a pun thread. I believe it will happen, inchallah.
Are you both baguette these old tricks? If focaccia one more time..
Is it yeast that you wish you’d thought of it first that’s got you feeling sour, dough you want chocolate for that pain?
I loaf you guys.
This was exactly the quiz I was looking for this morning when I went “Hmm I wonder if Autostraddle has any new quizzes up…” How did you know!!?
This is the best quiz ever made. Bread is the best thing ever. Maybe next to cheese and butter, but together they are even more awesome than the sum of their parts so that’s just heaven.
I’m a sourdough and that is a perfect match. Classic and full of flavour.
Love a quiz with recipes!
Wow, I got Sprouted Grain and the description is pretty gosh darn accurate.
“You’re a crunchy type, very intelligent and dreamy. You’re textured, complex, and exciting. You’re always talking about mindfulness and mental health.”
I’ve been gluten-free for 2 decades (celiac disease) and I don’t think I’ve ever had sprouted grain bread.
QUIZ CREATING GENIUS DANI STRIKES AGAIN 😍😍😍
Got Challah the first time around, literally joyfully yelled “yes, I am!” at the computer screen. 10/10 would bake again!
A toast to your results.
Honey wheat. Nice. I’m not sure about the accuracy of this one, but I’ll take it.
Ciabatta !
“You’re what Sade would call a smooth operator. A lil thiccy with great taste in everything, you’re a joy to be around.”
I’d like to think that’s very true.
I love bread, all kinds. Any answer would’ve made me jump for joy but I love that as an added bonus I get to sing along with Sade in my head !
I got challah! Best quiz ever. I love bread.
I just want to be challah, it’s the first recipe I perfected.
I also got challah which is not only accurate but I love making it.
I got sourdough, and it gave me the boost I need to start the week!
I was just thinking how my actual favourite soup was missing – the Jewish penicillin, chicken soup. But then the quiz saw me and my Jewishness and got it right, I am challah!
I also thought of some great Asian soups that weren’t on the list, so I would love to do which soup are you next!
You’re in luck! https://www.autostraddle.com/what-cozy-season-soup-should-you-make/
Oh excellent thank you!
I was just looking for the option “all soups”
Another incredible quiz. I got challah!
Here I am getting sourdough whilst a loaf bakes in the oven!
the description of my bread self as focaccia is far more flattering than my real self… and it comes with a recipe! thank god this is probably the easiest one, off to impress someone with my mediocre baking skills.
