Hello! My name is Kristin Russo and I am a writer, speaker, educator and consultant with a focus on LGBTQ issues. I co-direct Autostraddle’s A-Camp, I co-founded Everyone Is Gay & My Kid Is Gay and authored This is a Book for Parents of Gay Kids (Chronicle, 2014). I also worked as host and producer of First Person, a video series on gender and sexuality from PBS Digital and WNET & have a Master’s in Gender Studies from the CUNY Graduate Center. Last but certainly not least, I co-host & produce of Buffering the Vampire Slayer alongside musician Jenny Owen Youngs, which was named one of Time’s Top 50 Podcasts of 2018 and selected as one of Esquire’s Top 10 Podcasts of 2018!

This is the first one a these I’ve watched and it was so great! I was in Brittani’s improv session last a-camp; I’d never done improv before and it was dope. Now I do stand-up comedy; had my first headlining show this week! I def wouldn’t be doing this if it weren’t for the magic of y’all and a-camp–so thanks so much; can’t wait to see you at next camp!

I’m only 15 minutes and I’m just so happy already. Take My Wife is one of my very favorite things and I can’t wait for season 2. And I’ve been periodically checking to see if I could buy Suicide Kale online since the trailer came out. Yay!
