I forgot about Feral Window Jenny and the toast! The unhinged Jenny of earlier seasons is truly sublime. Mia Kirshner embodied her so well.
Watching this again alongside the podcast is such a trip down memory lane. I’d also forgotten that when I first saw the L Word I didn’t realize it was made in Vancouver until this episode, when I heard the CAC lawyer’s French Canadian accent.
More Leonard Cohen, so pumped to listen to this podcast now on my lunch break !!!
Thanks again ladies x
That description of Jenny in the toast scene killed me, I’ve died
You are so correct about the complete baby wardrobe.
At 14 weeks, well out of the woods, we have exactly these things:
– a Stormtrooper romper that we bought years ago, when we hadn’t even started planning to start trying.
– a puffin toy that we bought last August when we thought I might be pregnant and kept though I wasn’t.
– a puffin postcard which is like, cute on its own but maybe also in a nursery?
And I have been knitting. But knitting is like a good luck charm. It feels very pro-active in a time when you can’t do anything but hope for the baby to stay with you. So:
– half a baby blanket and a pair of socks.
