  1. This edition of Mystery Solvers makes me unreasonably happy that I still remember algebra! Thanks for the much-needed Monday ego boost.

  2. Ooh I just read about Hildegard. She was pretty cool – considering she was a woman practicing medicine and writing about it in the middle ages! She focused on holistic approaches and the concept of “veriditas” (greenness, or life-force). Also she wrote a book in a made-up language called “Lingua Ignota” (Unknown Language), which is thought to be one of the first artificially constructed languages.

I didn’t know that national hike day existed, but I approve. Hildegard would approve. I will go on a rain hike tomorrow to celebrate greenness and veriditas.

  3. I’ve always hated these types of Algebra things. Like if I had 10 pineapples in a bag what’s the chance of pulling out an orange if the train left at 12:30 at 40mph going NE? And I’m over here going who wants 10 pineapples anyway. I mean you can’t even fit 10 pineapples in a grocery bag. #goodbyemathskills
