  1. want 2 start a band and name it Faux Knee Highs With Real Rips By The Butt

Carrie i thought at first your list said “fall in love with someone who loves me as much as a dog” and felt yeah, that is the dream

these are perfect and i love you all v much (as much as a dog??!?)

  2. Alaina, all your classes sound fascinating! I want to do your class readings just for fun!

Heather, are you writing a book about a cooking club, or just hosting a really complicated dinner party?

Kayla, please tell me that is your freebie list?

  3. Dufrau, I witness your new Fallout 4 playthrough! I hope you did decide to take Dogmeat with you!

    • Grenades flying everywhere all willy nilly I’m just not sure this is a safe place for a sweet pup!

      • Dogmeat must be protected at all costs. I can’t even use him as a companion because I worry about him so much.

        • At least in this one he can’t die, but even seeing him staggered is very upsetting. In Fallout 3 he could actually die, it was horrible, like “STAY AWAY FROM ME DOGGO, CAN’T YOU SEE I’M NO GOOD???”

          • Oh man, the first time I fell off a cliff with my horse in Skyrim and lived but the horse DIED, I stopped playing video games for almost a year.

  4. Valerie Anne I cannot tell you how much I love your very own rainbow tick boxes – you are phenomenal <3.

  5. I especially enjoyed “Write more, damn it,” “Pitch the Thing” and “AN ONION.”

Also, I need to know more about space lesbians and the Museum of Death (a sentence I never thought I’d write).

    • I’m torn because on one hand I want to quell your curiosity about Space Lesbians but on the other what if your imagination decided it was something better than it really is?? haha

        • OKAY okay so Space Lesbians is the working title for a short story I’m working on about…wait for it…lesbians in space. I have it all mapped out but it’s only half written and I’ve let it gather dust for far too long.

And I actually haven’t decided what kind of fanfiction yet! I just find writing fanfiction a really great writing exercise because I don’t have to worry about world building or character development and can focus on plot and dialogue. It’s like fiction writing with training wheels. :)

  6. Alaina’s grocery list looks exactly like mine…

Also, Riese, definitely go to Greece, it’s one of the best places I have ever been to (although I went to Zakynthos, not Santorini, but I would think any Greek island would be amazing.)

  7. Riese, come to Alabama!!! Specifically Birmingham or Mobile! Specifically Mobile, help me host a meet up!

  8. so i started to write “carolyn is clearly dominating the email game” cuz like, she had good email topics? and then i was like wait. dominating. and now i don’t know about anything anymore.

  9. also i need a ted talk from carrie asap, i like sinclair’s handwriting, and heather, i feel you on the stardew valley. i’m a total cheaterpants though and just look everything up. i have like 8 tabs on my phone browser dedicated to my questions about that game. and yvonne! taco tuesday!

basically i got a lot of feelings about y’all’s lists.

  10. List of things l love:
    Making lists
    Crossing things off lists
Adding completed tasks to a list for the purpose of crossing them out
Procrastinating doing things that are on the list by thinking about other things that need to go on the list.
and, apparently, looking at all your lists and seeing how I can up my list game.
-(Answer: More doodles, better doodles, and stopping being such a disaster.. oh, and space lesbians– Valerie Anne you speak to me.)

  11. Molly, I love that you not only put “pet dogs” on your list but that it’s actually checked off
Valerie Anne your rainbow check boxes are awesome
Riese, I’m going to South Africa, Zimbabwe, Zambia and Botswana next month. Wanna come with?

  12. Is Beth trying to learn tarot stuff in Irish? Or is it Scottish? Fun fact, I started taking the Irish Duolingo courses. It’s really hard to know how to pronounce any of those words.

  13. i’ve always thought I id’d closest w Laneia and this has been overwhelmingly confirmed by our identical to do lists. YAY! This was fun a sort of different take on the “Whats in your bag” one which I also enjoyed a lot. I didn’t do any of the things on my list today but I did eat a jar of nutella while thinking about it.. :(

  14. Times I make lists:

    1. When I have already done 3/4 of the things on it so I can cross them off and feel good

    The end

  15. This inspired me to buy next year’s planner and they said they’d write my name on it for free so in two weeks I’ll have a very professional black journal with fancy silver script on the front that says WhoYaGonnaCall

    #Holtzmanned

  16. FINE!!! I’ll write the list I should have written days ago, get out of my head Autostraddle!

Also, I love all of these lists equally.

  17. Riese listing several bookstores by name alongside countries and national parks to visit really speaks to me. There are cities I’d like to visit when I get a chance and the most prominent landmark I know there is a bookstore. Ex: Detroit, which has (obviously) a lot in it but I’m most familiar with King’s which is a huge treasure trove of science fiction writing.

  18. Lists are such a great window into whatever fascinating clutter is in someone else’s mind at any given moment. I loved reading them. And I love making them, too. I identified most with everyone whose handwriting is closest to illegible, because that’s where mine is at
