The Boston Globe has assembled a stunning 120-photo retrospective of mostly totally horrifying tragic things that happened this year (e.g., The Oil Spill, Haiti Earthquake) and also some beautiful things that happened this year and these photographs are really f*cking amazing, whether they’re reminding you of beautiful things or reminding you of massive natural disasters of epic proportions that should make you feel lucky just to be alive and sitting on a computer machine.
