Please please please let this be real and not some vague queer baiting BS. I love comics carol, straight though she may be, but Brie Larson just seems like she is playing it SO GAY and I want her to be so bad!
Samesies
The Captain Marvel rumors originate from We Got This Covered, and I would take anything they say with a whole shaker of salt, unfortunately. They tend to just report every single rumor they hear, so of course some of them are going to pan out, but a lot of them don’t. Friends who are more dialed in to the superhero news beat than I am don’t put any stock in that site whatsoever. I do still hope they’re right this time, though!
The Captain Marvel rumors apparently stemmed from an AMA that producer Victoria Alonso did last June. I skimmed all her answers and found zero evidence hinting Carol would have a girlfriend. She addressed lgbt characters twice, saying:
“The character of Carol will have to show us who she wants when she returns with her adventures. ”
And
“I would feel honored to have a member of the LGBTQ+ group represented in our films and I hope the future shows that.”
Which are pretty much non-answers
Concerning the two Disney news: I’ll belive it when I see it, not when I hear it. Disney/Marvel talk a pretty weak game already and are even worse when putting it into action. The only reason alot of people know that Valkyrie is bisexual is because they read it online, since it is neither shown nor told in the movie.
Disney/Marvels commitment to playing it safe is why Captain Marvel was the movie they decided to delay when they needed a release date, why it has taken this long to get a Black Widow movie, why Black Panther only came out when they were already 9 years running and why the most LGBTQ representation we have gotten is that Valkyrie is bisexual, which you probably wouldn’t know if you only watched the movies.
And don’t we only know Valkyrie is bisexual because Tessa Thompson said so?
*vibrates at the possibility of Sera and Angela being introduced*
(Seriously, even if you’re normally a comics person, if you haven’t read Marguerite Bennet’s limited series Angela: Asgard’s Assassin and (especially!) Angela: Queen of Hel, you *need* to. They’re fabulous on multiple levels)
When I’m very worried, my stomach hurts a lot. This is especially unpleasant during the dates, when instead of relaxing and having a pleasant time, I nervous and suffer from pain in the stomach. I don’t know if this will help me, but I started taking Gundry MD Bio Complete 3. This food supplement, which can be bought here https://www.gundrymdbiocomplete3.com/, really helps to establish a digestive process. But I have thoughts that it is also something psychosomatic. What do you think?
