Dickens has a stuffy nose and is in bed working on their iPad, their friend asks “Are you okay in here? I hear a lot of suspiciously COVID sounding coughing going on. Both characters are Black, in pastel colors, against a blue background.  Dickens tells their friend that it is just allergies and may they have some tea, but when the friend comes back they have hammered the door shut and covered Dickens in caution tape. Dickens responds that it really is just allergies! They have a negative COVID test!  The friend responds, “We’ll see about that in 10 days.

    What does a “daily symptom self-check” before coming in to work even mean when I have asthma, allergies and live with three cats???

  2. What fortuitous timing that I’m reading this as I’m waiting for the results of a rapid test because I’ve had some allergy-related post-nasal drip but just want to be on the safe side even though I haven’t gone anywhere in a week…

  3. I just love that a potentially deadly virus has symptoms so similar to my regular old allergies. Just Love It.

  4. add in ‘sometimes people with chronic illnesses can get covid twice!’ and i will never again feel safe! i’m the sarai here- one cough and i lock the door to the outside until i’m Well

      • Lol, this is terrible news but probably true. I got an early version of Covid, then Delta, and am expecting to get Omicron any day now (I work w/ college students).

        • I know people that got omicron in January and have gotten it again now. I’ve read you have maybe four weeks of immunity after an infection. Scary stuff!
