This September PRIDE is coming to select theaters and if you like movies about two unlikely groups coming together than I guess you should probably see it. It’s based on a the true story of a London-based group of gay and lesbian activists that traveled to a small mining village in Wales to raise money for the National Union of Mineworkers while they were on strike.
In the vein of ‘if people say stuff other people say then it’d be funny let’s all say stuff and cut it into a viral friendly video’ comes “If Lesbians Said The Stuff Straight People Say.” So yeah, self-explanatory.
I thoroughly enjoyed this hilarious take down of the whole random men telling women what to do with their faces trend that has long since swept the nation, reswept it, mopped it, and then Swiffered it for good measure. It’s by comedy sketch team, The Get Go.
Dannielle Owens-Reid and Kristin Russo of Everyone is Gay recently released a book aimed at helping parents understand their homo kids and their addiction to Tumblr. Maybe it’s just the first part? Anyway, they’re also launching a web show called This Is a Show For Parents of Gay Kids that will include advice on sexuality and gender identity from people across the world and Dannielle and Kristin themselves. You can subscribe to the YouTube channel now or send a spam like email to your parents with the link and no explanation.

This is Brittani’s Video Party, where I bring some of the “best” videos from all over my internet together so we can clap, cry or deconstruct. Have you ever gotten to a video and it already has 33 million views and you wonder where the heck have you been? Well I’m here to help you so that you see it when it only has 32 million views. Aim low, world. Aim low.
I want to spam my parents with the link to This is a Show For Parents of Gay Kids so badly, omg.
Me too. But also not sure how they’d react. Perhaps ‘ah, we did something wrong/dealt badly with this and now we’re being told off in book format.’
1. I totally want to see PRIDE.
2. This made me lol.
3. This made me lol too.
4. This made me cry happy tears, a welcome after all the previous two lols; guys were looking at me funny because I was smiling.
welcome change*
Maybe they were confused that you knew what to do with your face without them having to tell you?
*golf claps*
Bravo!
They were probably impressed at how fast I catch on.
I gotta check out Pride, looks hilarious and heartwarming.
Third time watching “If Lesbians Said The Stuff Straight People Say”. Hilarious.
And finally, a show for parents of gay kids. Need to forward the link to their channel for my parentals to check it out.
From now on I’m *always* going to helpfully cheer, “We support you!” when I see a straight couple holding hands.
Omigod that Smile video was amaaazing. “A RANDOM MAN HAS LIFE ADVICE FOR US ALL!!”
