A photojournalist and drummer, Shelly Simon moved to NYC to pursue these passion. She continues to connect these themes under the queer umbrella. Whether it's photographing a concert, capturing moments at an LGBTQ+ networking event , writing about queer issues and stories in the music world or playing drums in the band– She is always out and about, seeking to support her LGBTQ+ community worldwide. She also works with Tom Tom Magazine that bears the tagline: feminism, music and drummers. Her involvement in Tom Tom is to create community and empower females/female identifying drummers and musicians all over the world.
