TINA FEY:

The edited version of Tina Fey’s Mark Twain Prize acceptance speech completely misses her point that “Sarah Palin’s America” excludes a shit ton of women in the country, including lesbians. PBS swears there was no political agenda which is ironic because PBS is always accused of being too liberal – yet they cut out all the Sarah Palin commentary. The version that aired on TV cut the bold portions. (@pbs)

“I would be a liar and an idiot if I didn’t thank Sarah Palin for helping get me here tonight. My partial resemblance and her crazy voice are the two luckiest things that have ever happened to me. Politics aside, the success of Sarah Palin and women like her is good for all women — except, of course, those who will end up paying for their own rape kit and stuff. But for everybody else, it’s a win-win. Unless you’re a gay woman who wants to marry your partner of 20 years. Whatever. But for most women, the success of conservative women is good for all of us. Unless you believe in evolution. You know — actually, I take it back. The whole thing’s a disaster. All kidding aside I’m so proud represent American humor. I’m proud to be American. GLEE:

The highly-coveted post-Superbowl timeslot slice of advertising heaven will go to GLEE. YAYZ! The episode will involve a mash-up version of “Thriller” with another unnamed song. The episode will also feature cover versions of tunes by Katy Perry, The Black Eyed Peas and Lady Antebellum and will be the most expensive in the 18 month history of the show. (@ew)

Apparently our dear Portia is being courted by producers to compete as part of a same sex couple on Dancing With The F-Listers next season. I’m sorry, but isn’t Portia too classy for that nonsense? Ellen addresses the idea of a same-sex dance team while Portia cameos and doesn’t exactly shut the rumors down.

KATHY GRIFFIN:

Probs not coming back for another season of My Life on the D-List. Silent tear.

“I don’t think it will come back, especially not as the same show it was. I would love to do a hybrid show, like a half-scripted kind of thing or something based on what I built on My Life on the D List and what I experience, but not a full-on reality show. I need to maybe give my mom a break so she doesn’t have to drink quite as much boxed wine. I could have someone play my mom because she’s a legend at this point.

I do feel like it is a natural progression to take all the wacky things that happen to me. But [some things] can’t be on a reality show because of legal issues and clearances. I think it could be even funnier because it is still real [if there was] nothing that was off limits.”
