Today on the popular web application twitter, JoJo Siwa made the announcement her fans have been awaiting: JoJo Siwa and Kylie Pew are girlfriends again! “If you love something, let it go, if it comes back…” JoJo mused in her tweet, citing the common phrase which indicates that if you love something, your best course of action is to let it go, and if it doesn’t come back it was never yours, but if it does, you can love it forever!

When JoJo Siwa revealed on the “Rachel Uncensored” podcast in March that she was “not single” and didn’t want to mingle, many were certain that the new relationship that had taken JoJo off the open market was in fact a new-old relationship: she’d gotten back together with her first true love, Kylie Prew. At the GLAAD Awards in early April, JoJo promised us that “the world is going to be very happy when I say who [my girlfriend] is” and “odds are it’ll slip out soon who it is.” In mid-April, Kylie and JoJo were spotted snuggling in Six Flags.

Then, this past weekend, in the grand tradition of Kristen Stewart’s Mom, JoJo Siwa’s Dad Tom decided to go ahead and put the couple on blast on his very own Instagram after enjoying a day at Disneyworld with JoJo Siwa and Kylie Prew.

Kylie Pew was JoJo’s first-ever girlfriend and they were dating when JoJo came out in early 2021. Kylie in fact lived with JoJo in her candy-themed bedroom for a significant period of time immediately following the onset of their relationship. Despite indicating an intention to stay together forever, they broke up in the fall of 2021.

But after what JoJo has referred to as a period of time spent “playing the field,” they have returned to one another’s pastures, as so many of us are wont to do, and were potted together myriad times over the past several weeks, behaving in a manner that reads as affectionate.

On April 28th, JoJo Siwa appeared on Extra! and was asked directly about her relationship. She explained that it was long distance and involved a lot of FaceTiming, but that it was always incredible when they were able to actually see each other. “I felt for a while like my puzzle piece was scrambled eggs,” noted JoJo, “and now I’m trying to put that puzzle back together, and there was that one piece missing and she was that one piece, that corner piece.”

(Once upon a time I was doing a jigsaw puzzle with my best friend who is now my girlfriend and we too were missing the corner piece to the actual puzzle we were putting together, and then it turned out what we were missing was that her dog had eaten that piece and then spit it out in a manner that made it no longer capable of fitting into the puzzle. Two years later we started dating!)

The host of Extra! Extra! Extra! asked JoJo if she could confirm that the girlfriend in question was Kylie and JoJo said “I will one day” and then noted, “I’m not gonna say yes or no but I will say that I should’ve told her I was doing press today and I should’ve asked her what she wanted me to say!”

It appears that Kylie has since given JoJo the go-ahead to live out loud and in love, and we love to see it!
