Description: Do you love to read gay books? Think you know your LGBTQ literature, both today’s and historical, from Sappho and Oscar Wilde to Audre Lorde and Janet Mock? Out On The Shelves, Vancouver’s Only LGBTQ2IA+ Library, invites you to come test your queer and trans book knowledge at Café Deux Soleils, Sunday May 6th at 8pm!
Suggested $5 donation at the door, no one turned away for lack of funds.
The trivia will cover kids’ books, YA, adult fiction, poetry, LGBTQ book awards, and more! We will be asking questions about the whole LGBTQ spectrum so this is a good chance to get your L, G, B, T, and Q friends all together. Teams cannot exceed 8 players.
Prizes include, duh, LGBTQ books, magazines, and more!
Want to sign up for a FREE Out On The Shelves Library card? You can do that too, at the event.
This event takes place on the traditional, ancestral, unceded, and occupied territory of the Musqueam, Squamish, and Tsleil-Watuth peoples. It’s important for Out On The Shelves to keep in mind how the ongoing process of colonization is connected to and reinforces the LGBTQ2IA+ oppression we are working against.
