I recently received New York Toy Collective’s Shilo Pack and Play as well as the Love Bump. Spoiler alert: this is going to be a very favorable review. Let me just tell you that I was really excited for this toy. I have high expectations when I get excited, and yes, it definitely lived up to my high expectations.
Here’s how New York Toy Collective describes Shilo – Pack and Play:
Dare we say Shilo is the dildo revolution- a fully functioning silicone pack & play dildo. Shilo was designed to allow the user to pack and play with control. We can say with confidence that Shilo is stable and bendable beyond the capacity of any other product on the market.
Shilo is available in 4 colors. Why four? Because more choices help you pick a shade that is closer to your natural skin tone.
To clean, shilo place in boiling water or on the top shelf of the dishwasher.
The Love Bump, which essentially looks like a scrotum, “works in tandem with Shilo to provide extra sensation and realism. The Love Bump comes with a removable vibrator so when rotated upwards it can provide stimulation for the receiver.”

Shilo and the Love Bump were packaged in a very subtle, non-descript, small poster tube. I appreciated the lack of “HEY THIS IS A SEX TOY” packaging from New York Toy Collective.
Shilo’s “ultra-realistic” silicone skin felt, well, ultra-realistic. I’m not usually a fan of ultra-realism in the dildo world. Let’s just say there’s no “suspension of disbelief” in my bedroom when it comes to strap-ons. The more glittery and purple the better. That said, Shilo’s very life-like coloring and texture were a real turn-on. The silicone is soft, almost squishy around the head.
My partner and I had been looking to buy a new dildo, and really, everything high-quality was too expensive to justify. At $129, Shilo is super affordable and worth every penny. Because Shilo is handmade, I found it to be very high-quality. The bendy core inside of my Shilo seemed to be too close to the edge under the shaft (I was afraid it would burst open at the thin skin under the head during any kind of vigorous activity), and when I emailed New York Toy Collective, they assured me that it takes heavy-duty scissors and multiple hands to break the two layers of silicone between the core and the edge. Mine hasn’t busted open during use, so I’d say they were right.
As I’m more of a “player” than a “packer”, I had my partner pack it and wear it around for awhile. She said it was comfortable, bendy enough to fit between her legs without a giant dick shaped bump in the front of her pants, and made her feel sexy. Here’s a video of Shilo for packing:
The Love Bump was a bit of an anomaly for me at first. I don’t typically desire anything to look like a scrotum near my vagina, but having the vibrator inside was a definite bonus. I found that the Love Bump works best in missionary, with the wearer on top. I also imagine it would be great for from-behind or anal. On the website, New York Toy Collective suggests that the Love Bump could reduce pelvic bruising. That sounds like a plus to me. The included vibrator had one speed and was pretty loud during sex, so maybe don’t use this if you have roommates. It did complete the realistic look though, and works on any dildo with a 1 1/2″ to 2 1/2″ girth.
I’d recommend Shilo to anyone looking for a pack and/or play dildo. It was big enough to feel pleasurable even awhile after insertion, a point where I’ve found other dildos tend to feel too small to get the job done. I’d definitely recommend lots of water-based lube when using for play, as the head is realistically big. Shilo is definitely my new favorite dildo for both giving and receiving and fits nicely in my RodeoH as well as my basic harness. The Love Bump is a welcome addition to Shilo, but I would probably only use it on occasion, as Shilo worked perfectly on its own.
I want this.
As more of a ‘player’ as she said, I think I’d rather want someone who wanted this. Coffee?
hey hey hey heeeeeey!
Ok, while I think this may be a must have for my partner in crime, I just had to comment that the music in the video above was hilarious. :)
… 129 bucks for a dildo is “affordable”? I bought a fucking arsenal of sex toys in college for that much.
Agreed. I’d hardly call $129 “super affordable”. It’s really, really not.
I know everyone is at a different place with income, but most dual-density dildos are in the 120-150 range so 129 is pretty affordable for this type of product.
This was more relevant to my interests than anticipated. I initially thought it was something to do Brad and Angelina’s kid’s toys.
Don’t be surprised if in just a few years from now, it turns out to be exactly that!
Oh, sold.
i want this. a lot.
Which rodeoh did you use
