Hello and welcome to this thing we’re doing where we help you figure out what you’re gonna put in your mouth this week. Some of these are recipes we’ve tried, some of these are recipes we’re looking forward to trying, all of them are fucking delicious. Tell us what you want to put in your piehole or suggest your own recipes, and we’ll talk about which things we made, which things we loved, and which things have changed us irreversibly as people.
Have you ever heard the phrase, “Once a side dish, never a meal”? No you have not, because foods crossover all the time! Especially salads, which are an area in which there are pretty much no rules except that it is a dish best served in a bowl. In that vein, these radish-ing salads (#notsorry) are all show-stealers in their own right. Your summer BBQ potluck isn’t gonna know what hit it.
That shrimp avocado taco salad looks like the best thing I’m probably too lazy to make and put in my mouth.
This is very relevant to my interests, as it’s too hot to turn on the oven/eat warm food, and the produce is so yummy this time of year. Last night, I made a greek salad with chickpeas:
It was super easy to make and is so refreshing.

Looks very similar to a salad that I like to make with chickpeas, tomatoes, red onoins, and bocconcini.
Yours sounds yummy! Do you use fresh basil? I used fresh oregano. Yay fresh herbs!
I don’t, just some white balsamic vinegar, olive oil, and good old salt n’ pepper.
Shout out to whomever’s committed enough to a making a beautiful salad that they can use a melon baller to scoop out those perfect spheres of honeydew and watermelon. That is a skill that I’ve never been able to master.
Anyone have any summer salads that include zucchini or summer squash? I make one with zucchini, avocado and edamame but I need some other recommendations.
Oooooh zucchini and avocado is not a combo I would have thought of and it sounds delightful. I would imagine that using a spiralizer on a zucchini and one of those little yellow squash would be really good with tomato and basil flavors. I’ve also had some great beet and pumpkin salads with sunflower seeds!
These look so amazing, it’s about to be salad season and I get so sick of eating the same salads over and over again. I usually just end up eating bowls full of nuts and toss on some dressing and tell people I’m eating salad. Super excited to try these

When I saw that peach caprese I actually whispered “game changer” to myself. The blood orange kale salad is also calling my name!
