Hello and welcome to this thing we’re doing where we help you figure out what you’re gonna put in your mouth this week. Some of these are recipes we’ve tried, some of these are recipes we’re looking forward to trying, all of them are fucking delicious. Tell us what you want to put in your piehole or suggest your own recipes, and we’ll talk about which things we made, which things we loved, and which things have changed us irreversibly as people. Last week, we made salads without lettuce.
Raise your hand if you love sandwiches? ME ME ME ME! I think I love sandwiches more than I love women. They’re just so delicious and versatile, ok? You know who doesn’t like sandwiches? My girlfriend. I KNOW, I can’t take her anywhere. JK. It just makes my life sad sometimes when I want to make bomb ass sandwiches for dinner but then I realize my girlfriend wouldn’t appreciate said bomb ass sandwich.
So what is a sandwich in the first place? Basically it’s when you put a scrumptious filling between slices of bread. The filling ranges from meats like roast beef, pulled pork, prosciutto, bacon, turkey, chicken to all sorts of veggies like sprouts, tomatoes, avocado, cucumber… and the list goes on. If it can be sandwiched between slices of bread, it’s probably a sandwich. The New York Times wrote this handy dandy field guide on all the unique sandwiches you can find across the nation. It’s a pretty interesting look at different regional sandwiches and classic ones and it makes you realize how beloved this thing really is!
Here I’ve compiled a small list of sandwiches for you. (It’s small because there’s just so many combinations out there!) There’s something for everyone on this list — from vegans to meat-lovers! I’m sure you can mix and match and take certain elements from one sandwich and fuse it with another.
What’s your favorite kind of sandwiches? What’s the number one thing you have to have on your sandwich? Who makes the best sandwiches? Where’s your favorite place to get a sandwich? Share your sandwich love with me!

Fried green tomatoes and remoulade, yaaaaaas. Also muffalettas. Also corned beef reubens.
DAMN YOU GUYS. THERE ARE NOT ENOUGH WORDS FOR ALL THE SANDWICHES
also scrolling and thinking #35 was muffliato and I was like WAIT WHAAAAAAT.
I want to print these photos and put them on my bedroom, lounge and kitchen wall to look at in my private time. I’ll be busy and thanks Yvonne!:):)
I’m kind of turned on right now. Huh.
This is everything to me. EVERYTHING.
I thought ‘sandwiches, meh’ bread and I aren’t on speaking terms at the moment but then I saw #23 (BBQ Jackfruit Sandwich with Avocado Slaw) AND AAAAAHHHHHH
By the end I felt like I was opening centerfold photos – revealing and mouthwatering. Thanks, Yvonne!
Okay, that chickpea sunflower sandwich is seriously the bomb. I clicked on it hoping it was my usual recipe, and it was! I make it all the time (without the sauce because who has time for that) and then I eat it on toast with extra mustard for like a week.
